The Bird Fantastic video series is produced by veteran producer and videographer, Mark Bussler, who started producing Internet videos in 1999. Bussler produced numerous documentary films in the early 2000s including Expo: Magic of the White City, Horses of Gettysburg, and Westinghouse. He produced the long-running video series Classic Game Room (1999-2024) and now works in publishing, audio production, writing, and photography.

"It took me and my team by surprise that the Bird Fan series exploded on TikTok. I thought it was a nice alternative to watching screaming and garbage, and it seems a lot of other people agree with me. It's fun to get out there with some serious camera gear again and photograph something nice. What could be nicer than birds? I'm a film nerd and photography dork so this gives me a great reason to put time back into that craft again after so many years away. Long format videos and film are long gone, sadly, but it's fun to adapt good photography and cinematography to this current format."
